Welcome to the Second Nordic Conference on South Asian Studies for Young Scholars!
The conference will take place from August 18 to 20, 2010, at the Falsterbo Conference Retreat in the wonderful region of Skåne, Sweden.

The conference is in its second year and welcomes all Masters Students, Ph.D. candidates, Postdoctoral Researchers, and other junior scholars affiliated with Universities in the Nordic countries (including Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) who focus on South Asia in their work.This year’s topics in focus are Interdisciplinary Research, Field Work, and Ethics, as well as Academic Careers (Publishing, Teaching, Networking).
The First Conference in 2009 differed from the usual academic conferences in paying attention explicitly to students. Positive evaluations were received from all participants and we are looking forward to having an even more productive and engaging event this year!
